Aaliyah Daniel Haughton exploded to fame in 1994 after her album debut Age Ain't Anything But a Numer. At the age of 15, the album achieved Gold status. R. Kelly heavily influenced the collaboration and brought her up to the top of the charts. In the year 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland came out with Aaliyah's sophomore album One In A Million. It contained If You Girls Only Knew the most-sold single. Aaliyah became a well-known R&B vocalist after the release. In 2000 she starred in the romance and action movie Romeo Must Die alongside martial artists Jet-Li. Joel Silver, a film producer, who was attending an award show when she got the role and spotted her. Queen of the Damned was her first role in 2002. It is based off The Anne Rice novel. Though she initially had small TV and movie parts, her acting career began becoming more popular in the middle of 2000s. She has also appeared in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy and Grey's Anatomy. She also appeared in several commercials, including Volvo and other major automobile brands. Her home is with her family in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter and will continue to pursue an acting profession.
